Maritimo M Series, 75

Australia

Maritimo represents a defining chapter in FiveBlade’s design story. During his time as Maritimo’s Head of Design from 2016 to 2024, and Managing Director from 2021 to 2024, FiveBlade founder Tom Barry-Cotter led design and new product development through a period of strong commercial success. It was within this environment that the FiveBlade design philosophy and process were refined: insight-driven design, multi-purpose platform thinking, common-component strategies, and modular systems that support both versatility and production efficiency. The result is a depth of experience in large-scale boatbuilding and practical, manufacturing-led design that continues to shape FiveBlade’s work today.

Elevating a Proven Platform into a Flagship Statement
For the Maritimo M75, the goal was not simply to scale up an existing product formula, but to redefine the brand’s flagship offer. Building on the success of the M55, M60 and M600 platform, the M75 became a more advanced and strategically elevated expression of the brand retaining the qualities customers valued while introducing greater refinement, presence and commercial ambition. The result was a flagship that strengthened brand perception, attracted global attention and delivered strong market performance.

Delivered a Category-Leading Digital Launch Strategy
The M75 launch strategy matched the ambition of the product. Released digitally two years ahead of its official launch, it was supported by one of the most extensive render visualisation campaigns seen in the marine industry. This early-market strategy generated exceptional momentum, resulting in 14 pre-orders and approximately AUD $100 million in pre-sales revenue before the first unit officially launched.

Achieved Strong Sales and Premium Commercial Returns
The M75 has delivered strong commercial success, with over 20 units sold to date. In addition to this market performance, it was one of the brand’s highest profit margin model in history highlighting the value of combining flagship positioning, design innovation and disciplined product strategy.

Created a Flagship That Elevated the Entire Brand
As the largest and most ambitious model in the Maritimo range, the M75 became a showpiece for the company’s capabilities. More than a new model, it acted as a halo product attracting global media attention and drawing new customer interest to the brand. Its presence strengthened Maritimo’s market position and reinforced confidence across the wider range.
